Dave Pasternak
![]() Dave PasternakThis is my husband, David Pasternak. He's a native of Silver Spring, Maryland. We met at a record store shortly after his graduation from The University of Maryland in 1980. We were married May 23, 1982. After spending 13 years in retail, Dave decided enough was enough. He returned to school to study computer programming. For the past 6 years, he's been employed as a systems analyst for a firm in Fairfax, Virginia. He's much happier in computer programming than he was in retail...especially in December! Two Guys and a MapTwo Guys & a Map refers to Dave and his friend, Doug Cohn (aka DC). Every other year, Dave and DC take a trip to several major league baseball parks. The chronicles of their trips appear on the Two Guys & a Map Home Page. Dave Named Ultimate Music Geek

On April 27, 1997, about 1250 people qualified to compete for the title of Ultimate Music Geek by taking the Rhino Musical Aptitude Test (RMAT). The test consisted of 318 questions (350 points) about popular music. Dave took the test for fun, never suspecting that he could actually win. On May 16th at 6:30 PM EDT, the phone rang. It was the RMAT Team from Rhino Records calling to congratulate Dave, the grand prize winner. Dave declined the Rock & Roll History Tour in favor of a Rock-Ola CD Juke Box (pictured below) and 200 CDs from Rhino's extensive catalog. For the 1998 RMAT, Rhino flew Dave and Bobbi to L.A. We had a great time. Dave finished second in L.A., sixth in the country, but he has no complaints. |

In May 2000, Dave and his friend DC went to New England for a Red Sox game and two Bruce Springsteen concerts. For the second show, they had guest passes. Here are Two Guys with E Street Band guitarist Little Steven Van Zandt. Steven also appears on the HBO television series, The Sopranos, as Silvio Dante. |
